A short story about Beth, set  in the time of sailing ships and a more simple way of life. She lives with her blind grandmother on the family farm, which has become a struggle to maintain in recent years. The beauty of the nearby rugged coastline is a draw to Beth, and as the frailty of her grandmother worsens, Beth senses nature is calling to her.
